An Art Curriculum Guidebook - Daily Art Journal

Hi friends,

The Daily Art Journal is a project that I designed to be used for bell work/short assignments (15-30min). I have 10 units (1 unit per month) that I utilized in my high school intro and advanced digital and visual art classes. They include artist inspirations and creative prompts centered around a creative theme. There's flexibility to integrate both traditional and digital tools.

I found my students' art journals to be one of their most meaningful works because it allowed them to express their ideas and how they were feeling with a wide set of materials. This project emphasizes experimentation over theory and technique (though it naturally integrates both).

I was a high school digital art teacher for 12 years and currently teach college level courses. I'm working on making my favorite projects available to other multimedia teachers.
